JKNTUF extends support to JCC's strike call | | | early times report jAmmu, Apr 15: J&K National Trade Union Front (JKNTUF) in its executive body meeting held here today decided to endorse one day token strike of state government employees and workers on April 17. The strike call has been given by the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) for implementation of the agreement signed on September 15 between the Government and JCC regarding demands viz enhancement of retirement age years, regularization of DRWs engaged before 1994 and policy for those engaged after 1994, Adhoc, Consolidated, Contractual instructor of ITI, Pay anomalies of various categories of employees and release of 7% DA in favour of employees besides other demands. While addressing a press conference in Jammu Moha-mmad Gafoor Dar State president J&K National Trade Union Front along with the leaders of the front announced the decision of the Executive Committee to support the strike call of JCC on April 17 and urged upon the rank and file of the JKNTUF to mobilize the general employees at all the Tehsil and District Head Quarters in support of the strike and organize rallies and demonstrations at there respective Tehsil and District Head quarters with close coordination of the other JCC constituents to make the strike a historic one. Gafoor Dar condemned the delaying policies of state Government which has miserably failed to implement the agreement before March 31. |
