| Boy killed in explosion | | | early times report
Srinagar, Apr 15: A 14-year-old boy today was killed in an explosion near the Line of Control (LoC) at Hajinar in Tangdhar area of Kupwara.
Police said Ikhlaq Ahmad Lone (14) of Hajinar was working in his field when a shell exploded close to him, resulting in his instant death.
Many people have died in areas close to the LoC due to the explosion of shells left over during cross-border shelling before India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire in November 2003. |
