NSF protests against CM, Guv for shielding corrupt officials of JU

Jammu, Apr 15: The activists of National Secular Forum (NSF) today held strong demonstration in University Campus against the Governor and Chief Minister who are Chancellor and Pro-chancellor respectively of Jammu University for not initiating action against the officers and teachers held guilty by the enquiry committee. The protesting students and scholars raised slogans against the Governor and the State Government for deliberately ignoring the recommendations of the four-member high level inquiry committee constituted for looking into the financial and other bungling. NSF alleged that the inquiry ordered by the State Government was just an eye-wash to safeguard the interest of corrupt people. NSF president Vikas Sharma condemned the attitude of Governor towards the corrupt officials and teachers. He said, "The inquiry committed submitted the report more than three months ago. But, so far he didn't initiated disciplinary action against the reported corrupt people. The mismanagement galore is visible in the campus. The student and scholars are anguished over the ignorant attitude of the Chancellor and the Pro-Chancellor. Sharma demanded from the Chancellor to immediately initiate disciplinary action against the corrupt people as reported by the inquiry committee otherwise students would be compelled to start series of protests. He also demanded the immediate dismissal of all the corrupt people from their posts at the earliest. Sharma gave an ultimatum of seven days to the State Government in this regard.
