Congressmen demand action against INTUC president for anti Azad remarks | | | Early Times Report Jammu , Apr 15 : The Senior leaders and former office bearers of Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress have requested the party high command at Delhi to take strict action against the State President of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) for his derogatory remarks against Union Health Minister and Former Chief Minister Gulam Nabi Azad. In a Press Note issued here today the young leaders of the party said that during his tenure as Chief Minister, Azad has created the history by giving eight districts, opening of 22. Digree Colleges in the state, equal distribution of funds to both the regions, creations of equal number of Tourism Development Authorities at both the regions, constituted the commission for creation the new administrative units in the state, created the new infrastructure for the new districts and colleges and other developments which are appreciable and the general public was very happy during his tenure, but due to some communal forces and dirty politicians in the state those were cooking their livelihood by creating the regionlism/communilisn and politics for the last more than sixty years had created the confusion amongst the common masses and Azad dissolved the state Assembly. The Youth Congress leaders said that during the public meeting of the congress party held at Shakti Nagar Jammu yesterday the State President of the Indian National Trade Union Congress has publicly criticized the policies/programmers and decisions of Azad in the presence of the some party leaders which is against the party discipline and decorum. They said that the sate president of a frontal organization of the party who is also the government employee has no authority to criticize such a tall leader of the country and he should resign himself or should be removed at the earliest. They further demanded that how a government employee who has collected huge wealth by misguiding the poor and gentle employees of the PHE department has openly participated the political functions and no action has yet been taken against him. They further demanded an enquiry of the assets/huge wealth and other activities of the State President of the INTUC at the earliest so that the public should know the facts. The leaders who signed the statement included Pankaj Basotra, Anuj Malhotra, Abhinav Sharma, S. Paramjit Singh, Amit Sharma Chetan Misri, Kuldip Khajuria, Avinandan Sharma, Vikram Singh, , Vipul Sharma and others. |
