| Zonal Level enrollment rally held | | | Early Times Report
KATRA, Apr 16:- A zonal level enrollment rally of Government Schools of Education Zones in Reasi district was organized today under the aegis of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) which was the main part of Enrolment Drive-2012.
The Chief Education Officer, Reasi, Kuldeep Kumar Gupta who is also District Chairman SSA was flagged the rally from Govt. Girls High School, Katra which after passing through important locations of the town finally culminated at the start point.
Speaking on the occasion CEO, Reasi reiterated commitment of the education department towards better services to the masses and strong measures for improvement in quality education in government schools. He further said that education is free in govt. schools for children for 6 to 14 years of age or up to class 8th under SSA.
As many as about 500 students drawn from various schools of different zones of Reasi district which includes Govt. Higher Secondary School, Katra and Govt. Higher Secondary School, Panthal, Govt. Girls High School, Katra, Govt High School, Nomain, Govt. Middle Schools from, Hansali, Purnadarore, Katra, Arli, Chamba, Searli, Kundarorian and Dura were participated in the rally. The rally passing through the main bazaar, Dak Banglow road, Bal Ganga road and culminated at the start point.
The rally, which was aimed to boost the enrolment drive in government schools and to publicize the achievements of SSA, decorated with coloured banners and placards. The pamphlets were also distributed to the people during rally.
Vote of thanks was presented by Sr. Headmaster of Govt. Girls High School Katra, Harish Dubey.
Among others, Principal GHSS, Katra, Sudarshan Pandoh, Principal GHSS, Panthal, Sunil Nanda and various heads of educational institutions were present in the rally. |
