| Open Kashmir badminton tourney begins | | | SRINAGAR, Apr 16: Organised by Kashmir wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Badminton Association, Open Kashmir Badminton Championship got underway at Indoor Sports Complex, here today. About 235 shuttlers in different age groups are taking part in this competition. Earlier, the championship was declared open by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar, Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari. The chief guest was introduced with the participants. Prominent among those present were SP Hazratbal, Abdul Waheed, SP North, Showkat Hussain, Sports Officer (K) of State Sports Council.
