Majalta to get Degree College soon: Manohar | | | Early Times Report
MAJALTA, Apr 16: Minister of State for Higher Education, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma said today that Majalta will get a Degree College in the near future. Sharma was addressing a meeting of Congress workers at Village Garh-Dhamma in Majalta Tehsil. He informed the people that case of a Degree college and ITI College at Majalta are under active consideration of the government and it is reasonably expected that Degree College shall be approved for Majalta in near future. He called upon the administration to gear up for redressing the basic developmental needs of the area and also called for a massive civil initiative in this regard too. Sharma lambasted the narrow and divisive policies of Panthers Party who are out and out to divide people on communal and partisan lines. He criticized MLAs of Panthers Party for voting in support of PDP candidates, a party which the supremo of their party, Prof Bhim Singh, has been repeatedly dubbing as 'anti-national' and 'anti-social'. While launching a blistering attack on the pace and module of development in the area, RS Pathania, senior Vice-President, J & K Pradesh Youth Congress, said that due to administrative neglect and lack of proper political leadership, the area has not been able to assert and flourish properly despite the availability of best of potential available here. |
