JAMMU, Apr 16: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) appealed KP Apex Committee members to resign as a mark of protest for delay in the passage of KP's shrine and temple bill viz a viz other demands.In a press statement, KPC chief Kundan Kashmiri appealed Apex committee members of KP community to resign from Apex Committee and not to attend any meeting to be convened by the state government or interaction by any other political party of the Kashmir valley in protest of ignoring and isolating whole KP community which is in exile form last twenty two years.
Besides this apex community has been made irrelevant, defunct and of no use since its formation.
KPC chief further said whole community is annoyed and demoralized for biased and step-motherly attitude of the government towards KP community and deliberately avoiding in mitigating KPs problems and accept their genuine demands.
Further commenting over return and rehabilitation of KPs in the valley Kundan Kashmiri, said that our political masters have failed to conceive the wider concept of KPs rehabilitation in the valley and declare it merely a monetary compensation. There is need to have a change in their mind set, revise their shaded opinion, develop practical approach and improve prudence in their governance.
He further said that in case those apex committee member who are hand picked and blue eyed boys of the government would be part of a decision in respect of return of KPs to valley under present circumstances or any other decision which has negative fall out on the community, they will be responsible and answerable to the community as no mandate has been given to them by the community for the same.
