Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 17: A bench of Justice H L Dattu and Justice Chandramauli Kr Parsad of Supreme Court of India, New Delhi, has granted interim bail to Ranjodh Singh alias Nalwa, an alleged accused in the Narwal double murder case, on health grounds. After hearing lawyers in a Special Leave to Appeal against a J&K high court order, the judges, after taking into consideration the ill-health of the petitioner, a letter of the central jail medical officer and a letter of additional professor and neurosurgery department head, granted him interim bail till July 3, 2012, with the direction that he would cooperate with the trial court for the completion of the pending criminal proceedings as expeditiously as possible. Nalwa was accused in the murder of Gurnam Singh and the latter's maternal uncle Rajinder Singh at Fruit Mandi here on February 5, 2010. |
