| Heroin worth Rs 70 lakh seized, one held | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 17: Police today recovered 700 grams of heroin valuing worth Rs 80 lakh in international market from the possession of a suspected narcotic smuggler at Seri in Doda district. According to sources, acting on specific information police arrested a narcotic smuggler identified as Abdul Rasheed when he was intercepted at Seri area last night while on his way to Bhad erwah town.
About 700 grams of heroin was seized from Rasheed's possession, said sources, adding police is investigating the case and probing if the suspect is part of a larger racket. |
