| NC committed to welfare of youth : Rana | | | Early Times Report
Jammu , Apr 17: Political Advisor to the Chief Minister Devender Singh Rana said that J&K National Conference is committed to the welfare of the youth of the state and claimed coalition government headed by Omar Abdullah has brought in many innovative schemes for the gainful employment the youth of the state. Rana who was addressing a series of public meetings in Panchayat Showa, Jandyal Upper and Dhanu in Block Bhalwal here today said that special emphasis has been laid on fast tracking the process of recruitment within the state government as also creating new viable opportunities for self employment of the youth within and outside the state. He said the creation of Overseas Employment Corporation is another futuristic step which will lead to the manpower from the state being absorbed in foreign countries to ensure that the youth of the state compete with the youth of other states for foreign employment. Rana said that on the recommendations of the Rangarajan Committee the Uddan and Himayat schemes have opened up avenues of employment for the youth of the state in other parts of the country. The Political Advisor said that the state coalition government unlike other political parties did not indulge in only hollow sloganeering and political gimmickry to exploit the youth but instead took concrete initiatives which will have far reaching impact on the development of the youth of the state. Addressing the gatherings at these places Rattan Lal Gupta Provincial President J&K National Conference, Jammu province said that National Conference is committed for the equitable development of all the sections of the society with special focus on the development of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes in state. Others who addressed the meetings at these places included Mumtaz, Ravinder Singh Jamwal, Sham Lal, Sain Khan, Anwar Khan and others. |
