| People protests PDD's negligence | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Apr 17: People of Chowdhary Nar village situated on the periphery of Rajouri town today protested stating risk to life due to negligent behaviour of PDD employees and worst condition of electric wiring in this area. Led by district president of Awami National Conference, Mushtaq Lone, a large number of locals gathered on the main road and staged a massive protest, however, they allowed free movement of traffic so that other people do not suffer. Shouting slogans against PDD department these people said that the condition of power wiring in their area is quite worst and is posing a great threat to life of commoners but even after making hue and cry by the people authorities concerned are turning a deaf ear towards the issue and no attention is being paid which could led to a mishap any time. These people said that power wires in Chowdhary Nar village pass too near from houses and are touching grounds in certain places which is posing a great threat to locals and can cause loss of life. Protesting people also said that during rains they desist from going close to power poles and wiring and face a lot of disturbance as they feel danger from hanging power wires. At last these people said that if concerned PDD authority will ignore their demand in future also then they will feel no hesitation in staging more intense protests in future. |
