Maintenance of Zorawer Singh Auditorium discussed | | | Early Times Report
Jammu , Apr 17: A high level Advisory Council of General Zorawar Singh Auditorium Complex (GZSAC) held its meeting under the chairmanship of Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu and discussed various initiatives for the maintenance of said Auditorium. Speaking on the occasion, Prof Ishar in his opening remark welcomed Principal Secretary to J&K Government, Department of Finance and Financial Advisor JU, Mohd Iqbal Khandey IAS and other members of the committee and briefed about various steps and measures undertaken in this regard. Thereafter Dr D L Chaudhary, Administrator, GZSAC in his Power Point presentation apprised the members regarding item wise agenda that includes insurance of the building and equipments. Installation of chairs/foot lights for Auditorium, Installation of sculpture of General Zora war Singh in front of GZSAC, Insurance of the building and equipments, Annual maintenance/servicing of power station of 800 KVA, and of stage light system in the main hall and the balcony of GZSAC, repair/renovation of the building of GZSAC. Threadbare discussion on all the aforesaid agenda and other allied items, were held and consensus was evolved that all agenda items be approved for smooth and effective functioning of General Zorawar Singh Auditorium Complex. Among others Prof R D Sharma, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof Rekha Chaudhary, Dean Research Studies, Prof Jigar Mohd.,Dean Social Sciences, Prof Dilip Singh, President JUTA, Prof Geeta Sumbli, Dept of Botany, Prof Ajit Angral, Principal MAM College, Prof Naresh Padha, Registrar, Prof Vijay Saraf, Head & Dean Institute of Music & Fine Arts, Savita Bakshi, Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, Rajeshwar Singh, SP, South, Jaikumar Sharma, Joint Registrar ( Finance) and the members of Syndicate and that of university Council were also present in the meeting. |
