| Physical Education wins volleyball title | | | Early Times Report
Jammu , Apr 17: Department of Physical Education clinched the inter-department volleyball title after they beat the Law School in easy straight sets in the final played at University of Jammu courts, here today.
The technically sound seniors playing for Physical Education had easy outing against the junior spikers from Law School. Even as boys were not technically sound, still they fought with courage against an experienced side. The score: 25-11, 25-08, 25-08. Rakesh Singh, Irshad Naik, Ajay, Sahil Jamwal and Goutam Sharma played a key role in Physical Education win while Mohd Israr, Suraj Jasrotia, Gourav Pathania, Navdeep and Mohd Jameel fought well throughout the game.
The final was officiated by penal of referees including Shashi Sharma, Maukh Raj Khajuria, Dr Rajinder Sharma and Waseem Malik.
In all, 15 teams representing different departments of the University participated in this knock-out event. The final was witnessed besides others by Director Sports and Physical Education, Prof. Dhian Singh Bhau. |
