| 'Rajinder Memorial Badminton tourney' inaugurated | | | KATHUA, Apr 17: MLC Subash Gupta inaugurated Rajinder Singh Khadyal Memorial Badminton Championship here at village Marheen of Tehsil Hiranagar.
Speaking on the occasion MLC Subash Gupta highlighted the importance of sports and games in student's life, he said it not only helped them in achieving physical & mental fitness but also enhanced the energy level among the participants. He said players should exhibits their best skills and sportsmanship rather than winning or losing.
On the first day of the event a total of four matches were played, in the first match played between Hiranagar and Ghagwal, in which Ghagwal team won the match whereas Marheen team come victorious in all their ties against Kathua, Ghagwal, and Hiranagar team. The four day sports event will conclude on 19th of April. |
