| Academy holds interaction with Padamshree Padma Sachdev | | | early times report
JAMMU, Apr 18: An interaction session with the doyen of Dogri language Padamshree Padma Sachdev who was here in her native place Jammu from Delhi held here today.
The function was organized by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages at K.L Saigal Hall, Jammu which was presided over by Padamshree Nilamber Dev Sharma whereas Padamshree Dr. Jitendra Udhampuri was the Chief Guest and Dr. Lalit Magotra as Guest of honour.
Mrs. Savita Bakshi, Additional Secretary, Sub-office, Jammu in her welcome address said that Academy has availed an opportunity to arrange an interaction with such a personality and also assured for holding such programmes in near future.
Padamshree Nilamber Dev Sharma in his address appreciated the efforts of the Academy in holding such memorable programmes.
The other dignitaries also expressed their satisfaction over the programme and thanked the Academy for providing them such an opportunity to spend some time with Smt. Padma Sachdev.
The main attraction of the programme was that Smt. Padma Sachdev recited her latest masterpieces of her poetry. A galaxy of litterateurs and learned people from the civil society were present on the occasion. The gathering also asked some questions based on her life who gave the answers very satisfactorily.
Among those present on the occasion were Dr. Ved Ghai, Dr. Champa Sharma, Dr. Veena Gupta, Jenab Darshan Darshi, Dr. Om Goswami, Dr. Usha Vyas, Dr. Shashi Pathania, Dr. Archana Kesar, Mr. Sham Talib, Mohan Singh and Mr. Baljit Raina.
Vote of thanks and proceedings of the programme were conducted by Mr. Brij Mohan, Editor Dogri.
