| Dilapidated condition of GPS Chowdharynar worries locals | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Apr 18: The dilapidated condition of Government Primary School (GPS), Chowdharynar's building is a cause of worry for the locals of the area as they feel that the running down condition of the structure may led to any untoward incident at any time but concerned authorities are not paying attention towards this.
According to locals, the school building of Govt Pry School, Chowdharynar situated on the periphery of Rajouri city is too old and with time its condition has gone from bad to worse which is not only disturbing the normal routine work of school but has also put the lives of school students and staff members at risk.
Even after being well aware of such a condition of this school building concerned authorities is not paying attention towards repairing the school building which has spread resentment among locals.
Talking with Early Times locals of the area said that on one hand govt and education department is emphasising us to admit our children in Govt School but why should we take risk and admit our children in such schools where dangerous condition of buildings is already a threat while other facilities are also not up to the mark.
Locals demanded education department to formulate a special team at the earliest and to review the cost and other requirements for renovation work of this school and to immediately repair it. |
