| Vehicle lifter detained under PSA | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Apr 18: Police has detained a notorious vehicle lifter involved in a series of vehicle theft cases in and outside the state under PSA and lodged him in Central Jail Jammu. "Identified namely as Showkat Ali S/oMohd Tufail Caste Muslim R/o Kindli Tehsil Billawar District Kathua involved in a series of vehicle theft cases in and outside the state, police said further adding, "has been detained under PSA and shifted to Central Jail Jammu.
Police said that the said accused has been a subject in vehicle theft cases and recovery of as many as 38 stolen vehicles from the possession or on the disclosure of the subject and a dossier in this regard prepared was submitted to the District Magistrate Kathua.
"Accordingly the detention warrant of the subject was issued by the District MagistrateKathua on 17-04-2012 and the subject was lodged in the Central Jail Jammu on the same day, police said. |
