| Father of five arrested for rapping mother of four | | | Handwara | Jan 27
Handwara Police has arrested a rapist who was caught raping a mother of five kids in Vilgam area of Handwara of north Kashmir.
Official sources disclosed that on specific information about the presence of an old man and a lady in a house of one Tariq Ahmad of Vilgam raided the house and arrested them, sources said adding that the owner of the house was also arrested.
“Both of them were raping the women against her will when they were arrested” a senior police officer said adding that the old man was identified as Habibullah Lone of Kalaroos a father of five kids and the lady as Rafiqa, a mother of four kids.
Police took them in custody and got medical examination of the lady done which confirms rape. Sources said.
The women, sources said was brought by her neighbrours to Vilgam with promise to provide her some money, but was raped.
SP Handwara, Dr Haseeb Mughal said that Vilgam police received information that one Habibullah Lone son of Wali Lone resident of Kalaroos Kupwara is committing rape on one Lady namely Rafeeqa Bano wife of Abdul Aziz Dar in the house of one Tariq Ahmed Khan s/o Ghulam Nabi Khan at Vilgam-Vilgam.
He said Acting on the information SHO Vilgam raided the house of Tariq Ahmed, who is son in law of the accused Habibullah and arrested the couple who were completely naked at the time of arrest, he added.
SP further revealed that while Habib Ullah is fifty years of age and father of four children, Rafeeqa is around 40 years of age and mother of five.
Vilgam Police has registered a case FIR No 02 of 20907 under section 376 and 109 RPC.
