| CJM reserves order on suit | | Chamber of Commerce election row | | Early Times report
Jammu, Apr 19 : The Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu today reserved order in a suit challenging rejection of candidature of the plaintiff for the post of president.
The filed by Rajan Datta came up for hearing today. The court after hearing the parties and the documents annexed reserved the order. The elections were scheduled to be on April 28, 2012, pursuant to the election Notification March 24, 2012 issued by Anil Kapahi Election President Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The plaintiff had sought Permanent Prohibitory Injunction restraining the defendants more particularly Anil Kapahi Election President Chamber of Commerce and Industry to act upon the illegal rejection of the nomination of the plaintiff and from proceeding ahead with the election of office bearers of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Regd.), Jammu Scheduled to be held on April 8, 2012, without allowing the plaintiff to participate in the said election for the post of President. |
