| Vehicle lifter detained under PSA | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 19: A notorious vehicle lifter, who was alleged to be involved in several thefts of vehicles in and outside the state, has been detained under public safety act (PSA). Identified as Showkat Ali, son of Mohammad Tufail, he hails from Kindli in Billawar, Kathua. After his arrest, as many as 38 stolen vehicles were either recovered from him, or on his disclosure, according to police sources.
A dossier, prepared by Kathua police, was submitted to the district magistrate who issued Showkat's detention warrant under PSA. He was lodged in central jail here. |
