Burglars decamp with gold, cash at Vijaypur | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 19: In a broad daylight theft, unidentified burglars today struck a house in ward No 10 at Vijaypur in Samba and decamped with gold and cash. Police sources said Narinder Singh of ward No 10, Vijaypur, left home along with his wife for Palli Morh, Kathua, at about 2.30 pm. His neighbour called him up after over two hours, or so and told him that the doors of rooms in his house were open. Upon this, he immediately contacted his brother Sukhvinder, who runs a shop in Vijaypur market, and asked him to go his home. Sources said when Sukhvinder went Narinder's home, he discovered that the house had been burgled. It was later found out that the thieves had stolen 14 tolas of gold and Rs 60,000 in cash. While a case in this regard was registered at Vijaypur police station, the accused were yet to be apprehended. |
