Chain strike by Kashmiri migrants enters 20th day | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 19: The chain Hunger strike of all Kashmiri Migrant relief holders and over aged youth against the apathetic attitude of state government towards them today entered on its 20th successive day. While briefing to media Ajay lambasted the state government for its negligent attitude towards them and said that they are the worst hit due to the sky rocketing prices of the essential commodities and are finding themselves hard hit for their substance and survival and demanded immediate enhancement in cash assistance to Rs.15000/-per month/per Family. He further said that it has become extremely difficult to make their both end meet and the diseases like diabetes, blood pressure and depression have engulfed the youth of the community, because of the scarcity of resources. He stated that the delaying tactics adopted by government regarding enhancement in cash relief has forced them to come on roads, despite this the false assurances by the government time and again has obliged the relief holders to launch a struggle against the government. Also at Jagti in a Sanjay and Talashi from Jagti and TRT Buta Nagar respectively welcomed the decision taken by the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in yesterday Committee meeting but decided to continue the chain hunger strike at Jagti, TRT Buta Nagar till the issuance of order from the Relief Commissioner Office Jammu. |
