CEO pays surprise visit to various hotels, guest houses

KATRA, Apr 19 : Chief Executive Officer Katra Development Authority Mr. Amarjeet Singh (prescribed authority under Tourist Trade Act 1978) along with the Tourist Police conducted surprise inspection of different Hotels and Guest Houses in Katra.
An amount of Rs 6500/- was recovered as fine for violation of the provisions of J&K Tourist Trade Act from Hotel Country Inn and Suits, Jolly Plaza, Ashriwad, Van Durga, Uma Pati. The inspection has been launched in view of different complaints received from the pilgrims regarding deficiency of services provided by the different Hotels and Guest Houses. They were warned to strictly adhere to the provisions of J&K Tourist Trade Act 1978. The prescribed authority requests the pilgrims/tourists to intimate the Tourist Reception Centre at Bus Stand katra in case of any complaint regarding deficiency of services/malpractices by any Hotels/Guest houses/Travel agents/Dealers either personally, through by post or email [email protected] or Telephone number 01991-232005.
