| Kranti Dal condemns hike in power, water tariff | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 19: Kranti Dal leaders strongly condemned the hike in power and water tariff and lamented the 'indifferent' attitude of the State Government towards the general public.
Addressing a meeting of the Kranti Dal held today under the chairmanship of its state general secretary Pritam Sharma blamed the state government for ignoring the interests of general public as it hiked the power and water tariff.
He said that common people are already under the burden of rise in prices of essential commodities. Kranti Dal suggested the State Government to reduce burden on state exchequer by reducing the salaries of ministers and security adding that rent of Govt. Quarters should also increase if Govt do all this then there is no need to hike power and water tariff.Sharma asked the State Government to immediately roll back power and water tariff otherwise the Kranti Dal with the support of common people will come on roads in protest. |
