| Symposium on "Role of Community" in educational developments | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 19: "Community plays an effective and important part in the development of education in government schools. Experts, Educationists, Teachers, students and other stake holders are agreed that support of community is vital to the success of government schools and students. All elements related to education sector, not only in J&K but in whole India, are depending upon the community members to achieve their educational targets." These views were expressed by the speakers in one day symposium on Role of Community in the Educational Developments, organized by Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Zone Satwari at Government High School Jammu Cantonment. The symposium was a part of the Enrolment Drive of Jammu and Kashmir Education Department. The masters, teachers, R-e-T teachers, members of VECs, SMCs, PTAs, MTAs of zone Satwari and various leaders of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum were also present on the occasion and showed their concern for the betterment of government schools and involvement of community members. Speaking on the occasion Ganesh Khajuria, Master and State General Secretary of JKTF, said that as a teacher, as father and as a community member I understand that today's students are tomorrow's future. |
