AIBCU submits charter of demands to Azad | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 19: All India Backward Classes Union held one day convention at Sidhra Bye Pass in which Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad was the chief guest wherein the union submitted a charter of demands to the chief guest. The leaders apprised to him that Mandal Report of 1992 is yet to be implemented in state. While submitted a charter of demands to Union Health Minister they demanded enhancement in reservation from 2% to 27%, Enhancement in creamy layer from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 9 lakh as per the central Govt. pattern, Certificate on the name of OBC instead of OSC, Renewal of OBC certificate on the production of Income certificate only, Abolishing income bar for OBC student's scholarships at all education levels, Due representation in both the Houses, Creation of a OBC wing in the Congress Party etc. Azad gave a patient hearing and assured for early redreasal of the problems. Earlier Union President Abdul Majid Malik thanked all the State OBCs for making the convention a success. About fifteen leaders from Kashmir Province namely Abdul Ahad Najar Vice Chairman, Ghulam Ahmed Kumhar, Sr Vice President, Engineer Noor Mohd and other participated in this convention. |
