Women second to none: Premini
Puppet show ladow ki nani…leaves audience captivated

Emphasizing that Indian women has accomplished remarkable achievements in every sphere of human activity, First Lay of the State Mrs. Premini Sinha today said that women’s contribution in leading nation to the success ladder can be second to none.
Despite customary travails and orthodoxical tribulations the women of the country proved her caliber and competence in outshining their male compeers, Mrs. Sinha said, while advocating for emancipation of the fairer sex.
The First Lady of the State said that history of the mankind is flooded with the significant and notable contributions accomplished by the women. ‘She is adept, skillful, dexterous, courageous and equally talented as compared to her male counterpart’, said Mrs. Sinha while addressing an impressive gathering at Abhinav Theatre, here this evening.
On the Ladies Cultural Programme, an exclusive participatory programme of the women showcasing the role of the contemporary women, organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports, Mrs. Sinha said that the adroit presentation of the items in the show reminded her of her youth.
Mrs. Sinha was highly appreciative of the puppet show ‘Ladow ki nani..’ which was marvelously performed by the tiny-tots of the Army School Jammu Cantt. ‘The puppet show presentation had all the qualities ingrained in it- humour, wit, imagination and colour’, she said and stressed for devising such marionette items that infuses and inculcates in tender minds the patriotic zeal.
Meanwhile, the Qawali presentation by anganwari workers of the Social Welfare Department too was highly applauded by the audience for it narrated upon the causes of the decline sex-ratio, while performance of the housewives in Desh Bhakti projected the secular ethos of the civilization since times immemorial.
Musical Jugalbandi by the students of the Institute of Music and Fine Arts in the form of Samooh Vadan mesmerized everyone. The rhymes of folk tunes on the sitar left one and all spell bound.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Director Youth Services and Sports Mr. Ravinder Gupta and Principal Army School Jammu Cantt Mrs. Anu Jandial. Mesmerize
