| PHE employees call off proposed stir | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Apr 20: PHE employees and Daily Rated Workers (DRWs) under the banner of PHE Workers Welfare Association (PHEWWA) today called off their scheduled tool down strike.
Union leaders informed about the decision saying that the decision was taken during a meeting of delegation of the association with Minister for PHE/I&FC Taj Mohi Din, and Chief Engineer, PHE Jammu, B R Dogra.
Chairman District unit of association Baldev Singh, president Joginder Sharma and general secretary Pritam Singh apprised the gathering that in above said meeting it was decided that 4095 DRWs stand cleared as on date and the policy is open with regard to remaining ones as well and will be cleared on the same analogy subject to production of three consecutive vouchers upto the ending financial year, 2011 without any time frame. Participants in the meeting also agreed that transference policy shall be modified to the extent that Class IV employees shall be transferred in the nearest sub division of the division other than the parent one while it was agreed to expedite the execution ofSRO 59. |
