Wrong policies of NC led regime put state into crises: Madni

Marmat (Doda), April 20: Charging Omar Abdullah led coalition regime with adopting casual approach towards mounting woes of the common masses, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said that the state has been plunged into unprecedented crises due to the mis-governance of the present dispensation headed by National Conference (NC).
Addressing a public meeting in remotest Marmat area of Doda, senior leader of PDP Mohammed Sartaj Mandi regretted that people of the State were feeling helpless as those at the helm of the affairs were not interested to solve day today problems of the common masses.
"Except promises nothing concerted has been done by this government during the last more than three years", Madni said and added that performance of this regime appears only on papers because the ruling elites were more particular about issuing press statements and conducting photo sessions to befool the people rather than taking effective steps on grounds. PDP leader warned that mis-governance of NC led regime would further fuel alienation among the people because common masses feel helpless.
"It is unfortunate for the State that this regime has failed to the come up to the expectations of the people", he regretted and added, "neither this government can carry forward the reconciliatory process nor the developmental activities initiated by the previous PDP-Congress coalition".
"Inability of the NC government to respond to the peoples' problems could have a negative fall out on the situation in the sensitive state", he observed and pointed out that growing alienation of the people was result of gover nment's wrong policies.
He cautioned that the situation has been sliding back to pre-2002 situation due to wrong policies of this dispensation.
Madni also pointed out rampant corruption in the State and regretted during the last more than three years corruption has crossed all limits.Thakur Balbir Singh, general secretary of PDP, Sayeed Asgar Ali, MLC, Mujaib Ali, Attaullah Khan, Vijay Dogra, Ajay Dogra, Mohammad Hanif Bhat, Ghulam Rasool Beig, Kuldeep Singh and other addressed the meeting.
