| Police book alleged criminal under section 110 of CrPC | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 20: Police have booked an alleged criminal under section 110 of CrPC and presented an "istgasa" in this regard before tehsildar, Jammu, in his capacity as executive magistrate.
He was identified as Varinder Gupta alias Kaka Chichdi, son of Banarasi Dass of Talab Tillo.
He was alleged to be involved in several criminal cases and incidents of land grabbing. He was said to be a close associate of Ravinder Gupta alias Gola Shah, who has filed a case against police in the court, alleging therein that some police officers had been harassing him and demanding money from him to drop "certain" cases against him.Though Kaka was to present himself before the IO as per court orders, he went underground. |
