CM dil se sirf sochta hai lekin practically nahi | 'Omar failed to differentiate between 'practical and mere saying' | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 20: Reacting over the Chief Minister Omar Abdullaha's remarks over Darbar Move saying it 'futile exercise and wastage of money' Ashok Bhan, a senior Congress leader today said that that young CM uses heart more then mind instead of becoming practical to day today things. Congress leader Ashok Bhan from New Delhi told over phone that although the remarks put Omar in limelight but these were not practical but could be termed as only a 'tweet.' He said that mere being a statement uploaded on Micro blog 'tweeter' by Chief Minister (Omar) the centuries old tradition could not be changed. "He (Omar) needs not think practically instead of being charged emotionally, he needs to see that things should be on practical mode before making it a thought, Ashok Bhan added. Congress leader further said that instead of giving appeasing and unpractical statement in lighter vain, he should convene all party meeting and settle such sensitive issues amicably through the cabinet. Congress leader's remarks came after Chief Minister Omar Abdullah tweeted on the other day saying the 'Darbar Move' is wastage of money and advocated for South African model of capitals for Jammu and Kashmir. Pertinent to mention here that Praetorian Model of governance (South Africa) divides its administrative power between three capitals viz. Bloemfontein is the capital of the judiciary, Cape Town is the legislative capital and Pretoria is the administrative capital. Challenging the centuries old tradition followed in princely times and even by his own grandfather Sher-e-Kashmir , Omar even have dared to comment: "We run away when people need us most and face the most difficulty. The Darbar Move is escapist". The civil secretariat, the seat of J&K government, and other move offices are scheduled to close in Jammu later this month and reopen in Srinagar on May 7. Pertinent to mention here that Dr Farooq Abdullah had to face stiff resistance from Jammu lawyers when he tried to abandon the practice in the '80s. Finally he gave up the idea. |
