| Suman invited to exhibit his works in Finland | | | early times report
JAMMU, Apr 21: Suman Gupta, nationally and internationally reputed artist belonging to J&K State, has been invited by" Gallery Espo-onsilta" to exhibit his latest series of art works in Espoo in Finland. Gallery Espoonsilta invites artists working in the different medium and forms which includes contemporary Painters and musicians thro-ughout the world. The show titled "Secret garden "shall open on June 3rd and shall remain open till June 17th 2012.The show shall be consisting of his recently finished thirteen works painted both in acrylic on canvas and Dry Brush . Suman Gupta established and contemporary painter of formidable reputation is a leading artist of his generation from gorgeously picturesque and trouble torn state of Jammu & Kashmir. His paintings are inspired by beauty & turbulence rampant in the region. But His latest series of works to be shown in the show titled "Secret Garden" question the reasons behind the human existence and his continuous struggle to find love, peace and happiness during his stay on this earth.
It may be recalled that suman gupta represented India in the 8th edition of the prestigious Florence biennial, which took in of December 2011 in the historical Fortezza da Basso in Florence, Italy. His "Untitled work" acrylic on canvas was awarded" Lorenzo il Magnifico " among the art works of 600 artists from more than 70 countries throughout the world. He is a recipient of national and state awards besides many other awards to his credit and has received both critical and popular acclaim for his shows at number of galleries and museums in India and abroad. |
