| 95000 patients treated in Maternity, Childrens hospital, Ang | | | Anantnag | Jan 27
More than 95000 patients have been treated in Maternity and Child Care Hospital, Sherbagh, Anantnag during last 9 months. Besides performing 4446 major and minor surgeries, 1923 USGs, 1491 X-Rays and 530 ECGs were also conducted in the hospital. About 23500 laboratory investigations were also done.
This was stated at a meeting here today to take stock of the achievements made in the hospital. It was informed that the hospital is catering to the health care needs of the women and children and is having well qualified specialists in gynae and obstetrics, peadiatrics with adequate paramedical staff. About 135 blood transfusions have been given to various patients with the help of blood bank facilities available during this period. As many as 754 patients have been screened for HIVs. A revenue of Rs. 11.03 lakh was realized on account of various medical charges during the period.
