| Usmania School organizes lecture | | | early times report
SRINAGAR, Apr 21: Usma-nia Model High School, in order to inculcate scientific temper among its students, organized a guest lecture by Mirza Mohammad Idrees-ul-Haq Beigh, pursuing engineering from MIET, Jammu. In the interactive session held at the campus today, Beigh motivated the students to sharpen their observations and acquire a habit of quantification of their information.
Beigh enlightened, in his speech, that the knowledge of science should be imparted through experimentation and demonstration, by involving students directly in activities similar to how scientists operate in discovering new knowledge. Beigh highlighted the importance of developing and helping the children find ways to develop their talents.
He also laid emphasis on creating an innovative club within the premises for the students to showcase their talent. In the presence of the Principal of the school, he laid foundation of two clubs, viz, Dickens Club and Eco Club, while the former would imbibe the art of learning effective written and spoken English, the latter would promote ethos of conservation of the environment among the young minds. The whole programme was organized by Taha Mirani, Activity Incharge Usmania Model High School. |
