| Sports Council employees hold meet | | | early times report JAMMU, Apr 21: Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council Employees Union today held a meeting of the employees, attended besides others by managers and coaches, to discuss the outcome of the recent meeting of the Union with Minister for Sports and Commissioner Secretary. President of the Union, Vikramjeet Singh briefed employees about detailed discussions held with Minister with regard to early release of pending 6th Pay Commission arrears besides absorption of those daily wagers, who have already completed seven years of service, on permanent basis. He also informed that other important issues of conduct of DPC and proper implementation of transfer policy were also discussed in detail. Later, a handout issued here today by the Union informed that both Minister and Commissioner Secretary have assured of positive steps to mitigate the miseries of the Sports Council employees. The meeting was also attended by president Indian Trade Union Front, Gafoor Dar as special guest. Meanwhile, the Union urged the government to consider their demands at the earliest otherwise employees will be left with no other option but to adopt the path of agitation.
