2 OGWs held with money in Handwara: Police

Srinagar, Apr 22 : Police today claimed to have arrested two Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit at Handwara in North Kashmir's Kupwara district. A police spokesman here said that acting on a specific information, two OGWs identified as Masood Ahmad Geelani son of Mohammad Maqbool of Laribal and Zahoor Ahmad Dar son of Gulam Nabi of Saderkot Bandipora were arrested from Laribal Handwara. "Rs 45,000 Indian currency was recovered from their possession. The money was supposed to be delivered to militants in Bandipora and Srinagar," the spokesman claimed. A case has been registered in this regard at Handwara, police said.
