| SDS delegation meets Sham | | | Sumit Bhargav
Rajouri, Apr 22 : A delegation of Sanatam Dharm Sabha (SDS) Rajouri met Minister for Health, Sham Lal Sharma during his recent visit to Rajouri and apprised him of several of their demands. As per sources, a delegation headed by Sanatam Dharm Sabha chairpersons comprising of senior citizens of the area hold a meeting with Minister for Health, Sham Lal Sharma and apprised him of several promises made by Group of Ministers during recent turmoil in Rajouri but these promises were not fulfilled. It is pertinent that during recent Rajouri turmoil a Group of Ministers visited Rajouri and finalised a compromise formula and made several promises. But as per SDS representatives several of these promises have not been fulfilled thereby sparking resentment in locals.
They also stated that some uncontrolled cops of JKAP damaged public and private property of people after which a proper compensation was assured. After a detailed assesment nearly Rs 16 lakh compensation was finalised but as per govt sources only about Rs 6 lakh have been announced which is also not acceptable to people.
The delegation of SDS reminded Sham of the promises made by Group of Ministers but were not fulfilled. Later Sham Lal Sharma assured them that all the promises made by govt will be fulfilled and govt will help people in maintaining communal brotherhood in the area for which Rajouri is always known. |
