3- day NSS camp concludes | | | Early Times Report
RAMNAGAR , Apr 22: Three days long NSS camp at Ramnagar Campus, University of Jammu, concluded today. The main thrust of the camp was on child labour and female foeticide. A rally was organised by NSS volunteers on save girl child and stop child labour took place in the Town . NSS volunteers visited nearby village Thaplal and an awareness programme against child labour and female foeticide was launched. Besides this a slogan writing competition, poster making, debate competition takes place in which NSS volunteers participated enthusiastically. Before this a cleanliness drive was launched by NSS Volunteers in the Campus premises. On the valedictory function Prof. V D Singh, Director Ramnagar Campus highlighted the role of NSS in developing student as role models by serving the community and become the future pillars of the country. He said that such type of activities gives a message to society and aware people about the illnesses in the society. On the occasion all the faculty members of the Ramnagar Campus were present. The camp report was presented by Ranjit Singh Slathia, Programme Officer NSS, Ramnagar Campus. At the end Sachin Prabhakar, presented the vote of thanks. NSS volunteers Parveen Sharma, Vaneet Pandit, Avtar Singh, Keshav, Parveen, Sonali, Neha, Sumeer, Sunny, Deepak, Dolly, Neeru, Nisha, Anu, Vandana, Shallu and other volunteers are also present. |
