As names of DC, other big-wigs figure in sex scam, police fear threat to life of minor flesh trade victim

Kishtwar, Apr 22: After the names of a deputy commissioner and other high-profile persons allegedly surfaced in the Durga Nagar sex scam involving a minor girl, police today shifted the victim to a "safe house", fearing threat to her life.
The girl had been kept in the safe custody of police and no one was allowed to meet her, according to police sources.
Sources said since the high-profile accused had connections with the underworld, the former could hire criminals to eliminate her.
To ensure safety to her life, police had strengthened security around her and kept her movements a secret, the sources added.Sources said police had already started hunt to arrest the accused identified by the minor girl. They had allegedly committed rape on her at different places in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, the sources added.
After the arrest of main kingpin Saroja Devi, police were looking for the other accused. Police were also likely to book numberdar Arjun Singh and chowkidar, Sayia, Rakesh Kumar for allegedly issuing fake date of birth certificate of the victim to help the accused in the court of law.
Sources said police would register cases of fraud against the numberdar and the chowkidar.
Sources said Kishtwar police were in constant touch with their seniors in Kashmir and Jammu for affecting the arrest of the accused.
JKNPP leader Anil Parihar and BJP's Sunil Sharma have demanded the constitution of a SIT to probe into the case.
President of women wing of SRCO, Kishtwar, Nusrat Farooq also demanded a stern action against the accused.
Meanwhile after the news of the sex scandal come to the forefront, there are reports that 4-5 minor girls from Padyarna area are missing and people have apprehension that the missing girls might have fall in the trap of sex racket and demanded that police should inquire about the whereabouts of those missing girls from the accuse Saroja Devi, Santosha Devi, Ashwani Kumar and other local peoples of Padyarna who were involved in the case of flesh trading.
It is worthwhile to mention that the minor girl who was allegedly pushed into flesh trade by accuse Saroja Devi and Santosha Devi in her statement before CJM Kishtwar revels the name of high profile persons including the name of officer of the rank of Deputy Commissioner who committed repeated rapes on her on the instance of accuse Santosha Devi.
