Leh | Jan 27 A state of the art, forty slice, Multi row detector CT scan machine has been installed in 153 General Hospital, Leh. This modern imaging facility was sanctioned by the Prime Minister during his visit to the region in 2005. The installation, which is the first of its kind in the whole of the Ladakh region, has tremendously augmented the diagnostic and curative medical services of this high altitude, multi-specialty military hospital. The CT Centre was inaugurated on 24 Jan 2007 by Lt Gen JK Mohanty, UYSM, SM, VSM, GOC 14 Corps. The GOC complemented the staff of the GH and the medical branch for their excellent all round services in improving the standard of health service in the region. Brig BR Jain, DDMS 14 Corps emphasized the advantages of CT Scan, its utility and applications in varied clinical settings including Coronary Angiography, Virtual Bronchoscopy, Virtual Colonoscopy, Neuro-perfusion studies and 3D reconstructions. |
