9 PoK guests among 42 cross sides

SRINAGAR, Apr 23 : Nine guests from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) arrived here this afternoon while as many from Kashmir crossed over to the other side of the Line of Control (LoC). As many as 24 returnees also crossed sides at Kaman post, the last Indian military post on the LoC in Uri sector, official sources said.They said nine PoK residents, including two women and three children arrived at Kaman post after crossing the Aman Setu, (peace bridge) on foot.
Twelve Kashmiris, who had gone to other side of the LoC in previous buses also returned to their homes after completing stay in PoK.They said nine Kashmiris, including four women, crossed to other side of the LoC to meet their relatives, separated in 1947. Sources said 12 PoK residents, including five women and a child, also returned to their homes after completing stay in Kashmir.
The bus service, started on April 7, 2005, is being operated on every Monday between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad.
