Amarnath yatra arrangements reviewed

Jammu, Apr 23 : The Jammu and Kashmir government today asked the authorities concerned to ensure time bound arrangements for smooth conduct of Amarnath yatra, which will begin from May 7. "Ensure time bound arrangements for smooth conduct of the forthcoming Amarnath yatra," Minister for Tourism and Culture Nawang Rigzin Jora said here at a meeting to review the status of action taken on the recommendations of high level committee on Amarnath yatra 2012. The meeting reviewed the status of several works to be taken up at Chandanwari, Baltal base camps besides en-route to cave for facilitation of pilgrims during yatra.
The Minister directed the officials concerned to ensure construction of impregnable gates at Chandanwari and Domel for effective regulation of yatri movement.
