| Two rape accused escape police custody | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar Apr 23: Two rape accused today escaped from police custody while they were being taken to the court of chief judicial magistrate here, causing embaracement to police. They were identified as Shanawaz Hussain @ Bitta and Ghulam Hussain Dar. An FIR No 3/2012 was registered against them at Kishtwar police station under sections 363, 376 and 109 of RPC. They were alleged to be involved in a rape and abductiion case, according to police sources.Sources said the duo along with five other rape accused were being taken to the CJM's court, they escaped from police custody. The CJM later declared them as absconders and issued warrant under section 512 of RPC against both of them. A hunt had been lodged to arrest him, the sources added. |
