Congress surrendering before NC: Gupta | Joining in Rajouri was a stage show to please Cong leadership | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 23: Reacting sharply to the statement of Pradesh Congress President Saif-ud-Din Soz regarding role of National Conference in ineffectiveness of Panchayat Raj, Bhartiya Janta Party has said that Congress must pull support to the coalition government but it (Congress) has totally surrendered before NC and has raised its hands up. If National Conference has failed the demand of the Congress regarding incorporating 73rd and 74rd Amendment Act, he said why the Congress didn't pull out of the coalition. Addressing workers meeting at W-17, BJP State Secretary, Vibodh Gupta has said that Prof Soz has shown helplessness before National Conference in regard of extension of 73rd and 74rd amendment act in the state of Jammu & Kashmir by saying that NC is biggest hurdle in it. He said that Congress is also playing double game. Gupta said that Nation al Conference is taking advantage of article 370 and Congress is playing double game to befool people. "Let Congress came forward for abrogation of Art 370 from the Indian Constitution", he added. Speaking on the occasion, BJP District President Yogesh Sharma said that Congress staged a drama of joining at Rajouri and local leaders have befool its senior party leaders including JKPCC(I) President. He said that not even a single member of BJP family has joined the Congress on Sunday and all the faces who joined were already Congressmen. He on the other hand said that 50 Congress workers have joined BJP on Monday at Ward no 17. Welcoming those who joined BJP, Senior BJP leader Bharat Bhushan said that the Congress workers are coming closer to BJP only because the double standard attitude and anti-people policies of the Congress. He said that BJP is fully prepared to sweep local bodies election and they are sure that they will win all the seats in the Municipal elections. |
