| 5 burglars held, Rs 24 lakh gold items recovered | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Apr 23 : Five burglars were arrested and gold items worth Rs 24 lakh recovered from their possession here, police said today.
"Three burglars, hailing from Jammu district, were arrested when they were attempting to flee from Kashmir along with stolen gold items worth Rs 14 lakh," Srinagar SSP Ashiq Bukhari told reporters here.
In another case, a domestic help and his accomplice were arrested for stealing gold items worth Rs 10 lakh from his employer's house in Saraf Kadal area he said, adding that the stolen goods have been recovered. |
