RGM College holds workshop on teaching aids | | | Early times report kathua, Apr 23 : A work shop on the preparation of teaching aids was organized in Rajiv Gandhi Memorial College of Education. Sanjay Sehgal, an eminent educationist and expert on the preparation of teaching aids, who has won many national level and state level awards, was the resource person invited to the workshop. He emphasized that very effective teaching aids can be prepared by the students themselves by using the waste household material without involving much expenditure. Sehgal demonstrated the preparation of teaching aids regarding the teaching of alphabets, numbers, word formation, sentence formation; the properties of various geometrical figures such as triangles, quadrilaterals and circles; working of electromagnets, laws of mechanics and many simple apparatus used in the science lab of a secondary school, in a most simple and innovative manner. After demonstration session the students also prepared some teaching aids during the practice session. The students were highly impressed and appreciated the conduct of the workshop. The workshop was attended by the chairperson, Mrs. Anu Dogra, Principal Dr. G.P. Sachdev and faculty members of the college. |
