Development of Bathindi, Sunjwan priority of Govt :Bhalla

JAMMU, Apr 24 : To deal with the situation raise due to flash floods in last year rainy season, Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla today laid foundation of deep drain including slab at Azad Colony in Bathindi, coming up at an estimated cost of Rs. 34.50 lakh. Officers of PHE, PDD, Revenue and R&B accompanied the Minister. He asked the R&B engineers to put their sincere efforts in completing the project well in time, adding that inhabitants of Azad Colony have faced lot of hardships during monsoon last year, resulted flood was entered into the houses of the people which caused heavy loss of public and private properties. The Minister said Government is making all out efforts to provide all basic amenities to the people of Bathindi and Sunjawan like safe drinking water, electricity, road connectivity, health, education besides better lanes and drains. He called upon the people to cooperate with the executing agencies in making the areas on modern lines, adding that there is no constraint of funds in providing all basic facilities to the inhabitants of the localities.. Bhalla said peace is the vital key for making J&K a model State of the country, adding that people's cooperation is imperative for the Government to make the State a prosperous one. He called upon the people not to heed on nefarious designs whoever wants to use innocent for their personal interests and always disrupt peace, brotherhood, communal harmony and amity of the State.
He asked them to give their whole hearted cooperation to the Government for maintaining peace and prosperity in the State. Later, the Minister also visited Gorkha Nagar and install idols of Shiv Parivar, Ram Parivar, Radha Krishan darbar, Maa Sarswati, Shannidev, Hanuman ji, Vasuki Nag and Laxmi Narayan.
Thousands of devotees thronged the temple and prayed for peace and prosperity of the State and country.
