BJP activists arrested in Kalakote | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Apr 24: A large number of activists of BJP, including women, were arrested at Kalakote on Tuesday when they were taking out a rally on the visit of CM to the town in protest against the failure of the state government for not compensating to the families of those who got killed in an accident in September 2011, reports said. Led by BJP Kalakote Mendal President Vinod Sharma, these activists were taken into custody for taking out a protest march. Vinod Sharma, while describing these arrests as an attempt to suppress the voice of people, said that despite assurance from the government that all those killed in Tattapani-Khargala matador accident would be given rupees one lakh but unfortunately not a single penny has been released till date. Nowshera-Sunderbani Distt. Vice-President Dr. Ashok Sharma, Kalakot mandal Vice-president Ramesh Suri and mandal General Secretary Sardari Lal, who were also arrested have termed the govt's action as illegal and demanded immediate release of all the party activists. |
