Bail denied to rape accused

Jammu, Apr 24: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu Jang Bhadur Singh Jamwal
today rejected bail application of Deepak Kumar son of TaraChand of Village Dhara, Akhnoor for committing rape with minor girl.
According to the police case that on May 5, 2009 the complainant mother of the prosecutrix made a written report before police stating therein that her younger daughter 9 years old was studying in Play Way Model school. In the way, accused Deepak Kumar came on tractor and asked the prosecutrix to go with him and thereafter he took her on foot towards the bushes and caught her and finally he raped her forcibly in the bushes and she became unconscious.
While rejecting the bail application of accused, Principal Sessions Judge Jammu Jang Bhadur Singh Jamwal after hearing both the sides said, I am conscious of the fact if these kinds of people are allowed to be escorted free and given the privilege of bail; there is every likelihood of repetition of same kind of offence. With observations Court rejected the bail application. (JNF)
